Pricing questions

What does the renter pay?
The renter pays the rental amount agreed in the contract plus the DVCSafePay service fee. The total is shown clearly before they submit payment. There are no hidden charges.
What does the owner receive?
The owner receives the full contract amount. The only deduction is the payment gateway processing fee, which depends on the payout method chosen. Founding Members pay zero platform transaction fees.
What happens after the founding period?
After the first 10,000 members join, new members may be subject to per-transaction fees. Founding Members keep their zero transaction fee rate for life, as long as their membership stays active.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. You can cancel anytime. Your membership remains active until the end of the billing period. If you cancel and rejoin later, the founding member rate is only available if spots remain.
I already use DVCSales. Do I need a membership?
No. Contracts originating from DVCSales partner marketplaces include DVCSafePay escrow at no additional membership cost. The membership is for owners and renters who use DVCSafePay independently.

How founding membership pays for itself

At the current market rate of $18 to $23 per point, a single modest rental covers the $79 annual membership many times over. A 100-point rental at $20 per point is a $2,000 transaction. The membership that protects it costs less than 4% of that one deal. Founding members pay zero per-transaction fees on every rental after that, for life.

The alternative is renting without escrow protection. When something goes wrong on a $3,000 direct Zelle transfer, there is no mechanism for recovery. The escrow fee on that same transaction would have been the membership cost divided across however many rentals you complete that year.

What renters pay

Renters pay the rental amount agreed in the contract plus a DVCSafePay service fee. The service fee covers escrow administration and is shown clearly on the payment page before you confirm. There are no charges added after payment. The amount you see is the amount you pay.

Once your payment is in escrow, it does not move until you check in at the resort. If the reservation is cancelled before check-in for any reason, you receive a full refund with no dispute required. No negotiation, no waiting, no chasing the owner.

What owners receive

Owners receive the full contract amount. The only deduction from the payout is the payment gateway processing fee, which depends on the payout method chosen. DVCSafePay does not take a percentage of the rental.

Founding members pay $79 per year with no per-transaction fees. That covers every rental you complete during the membership year. If you rent your points four times in a year, the cost per rental is under $20. For owners who rent annually to offset dues, founding membership is the most cost-effective structure available for escrow-protected transactions.

Payout methods and gateway fees

DVCSafePay releases owner payments via Stripe Connect. Stripe charges a standard gateway processing fee that varies by payout method and country. This fee is not set by DVCSafePay. It is the standard cost of electronic payment processing and is the only deduction from the contract amount.

The full fee schedule is shown in your account dashboard before you select a payout method. There are no hidden fees added by DVCSafePay on top of the gateway rate.
